I've been trying to get the quickstart tracing working with OTLP and the latest release of Ory/Hydra (2.0.3) without much success.
I'm new to golang, and it took a while to work through the tracing configuration. I see that the x/tracing package has been removed and tracing should now be handled with x/otelx. Since Hydra v2.0.3 was released before these changes, I think that tracing is somewhat broken in the v2.0.3 release, depending on what features are attempting to be used.
When attempting to configure an otlp provider via config.yml, the following error is displayed:
hydra_1 | The configuration contains values or keys which are invalid:
hydra_1 | tracing.providers: map[otlpmap[insecuretrue samplingmap[sampling ratio1] server_urljaeger4318]]
hydra_1 | ^-- additionalProperties "otlp" not allowed
This makes sense, as the config.schema.json in the x/tracing package does not list otlp in its tracing.providers.
It looks like this may have already been fixed, but after v2.0.3 was released.
Two questions.
1. Is tracing in a partially working transitory state, from x/tracing to x/otelx in Hydra v2.0.3 ?
2. Is there a timeline for a Hydra v2.0.4 release containing the additional tracing changes ?
