In certain scenarios (for example a special OAuth2 Client) you might not want to show the consent screen at all. In those cases you can choose to skip showing the UI and just accept the consent. Please keep in mind that OAuth2 is a delegation protocol and that it makes most sense for third-party access. Not showing the consent screen will break OpenID Connect Certification.

@magnificent-energy-493 can this be done in the UI provided by Ory? The documentation leads me to believe I need to implement my own UI to achieve this, have I understood that correctly?

Hello Wayne, yes, that is correct, BUT we are adding a toggle for this, so you dont need it anymore 🎉 (ps: should be available to all users this week or beginning next week)

Oh wow! I had started exploring the Cookie and Flow based route to enable first party integration and was thinking of dropping the OIDC integration for now. But if it’s shipping next week I might just wait. 😄 Thanks for the update and I’m really enjoying the Ory platform and community!

It is already released! On Ory Network you can use it, and on Github it is on master and will be included in next quarterly release
