Hello, i have this problem: https://github.com/ory/kratos/issues/3502 I suspect this is because i set up kratos on Cockroachdb, but using a postgres:// DSN. Now, when trying to upgrade from 0.11.1 to 0.13 or 1.0, i get the migration error from the linked issue. Now i cannot downgrade like the creator of the issue, since i am using cockroach serverless. I am now trying to find a way to fix this, or at least migrate my identities including the credentials to a new Kratos instance. I discovered kratos v1 can export identities with credentials, is this possible in older versions? Any ideas?

Hey Chris, exporting credentials was added in May, so I think its only available in v1 😕 I am not very familiar with cockroach / db issues in general unfortunately. The docs had this to say on the linked issue, but not sure if its helpful:
The error message you’re seeing indicates that the target database or schema does not exist. This could be due to a number of reasons, such as the database not being created yet, the database name being misspelled, or the database not being accessible from the context where the command is being run.
In your Docker Compose file, you’re using the
<postgres://[email protected]:26257/local-ory-kratos?sslmode=disable>
DSN for the
kratos-migrate
service. Make sure that the
local-ory-kratos
database exists and is accessible from the
kratos-migrate
service.
Also, you mentioned that the migration runs successfully with CockroachDB version <= v21.2.17. It’s possible that there are compatibility issues with the newer version of CockroachDB you’re using (v23.1.9). You might want to consider downgrading CockroachDB to a version that works, or checking the CockroachDB documentation or forums for any known issues or changes in the newer version that might affect the migration.
